Synopsis

Janet insists she is completely over any romantic feelings for Anna, making their plan to become roommates perfectly reasonable. Her childhood friends remain unconvinced, however, turning a visit home into an increasingly awkward examination of sapphic friendship, desire, and denial.

Filmmaker Bio

Margaret Donahoe is a filmmaker based in Kjipuktuk Mi'kma'ki (Halifax NS). Her first work, FAT, was a personal, non-narrative short that played at TIFF's Next Wave. She has spent time across Canada and the UK studying and working in various arts and education fields. With her eventual return home came a return to film - now working full time on set, and to filmmaking - now having completed her second narrative short. Her work has played internationally, featuring themes of self-deception/awareness especially in relation to queerness, fatness, and desire.
