Filmmaker Bio

Benoît Trudel is a Franco-Ontarian creator and scriptwriter, originally from Ottawa and now based in Montreal. With a degree in performance theater from Concordia University, he has performed on stage in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, notably in Simon a toujours aimé danser by Simon Boulerice at Théâtre de la Seizième in 2019. For his first short film, Sides, Benoît set himself the challenge of directing, acting and writing a universal story about the dual roles we all have to embody.
