Synopsis

Inspired by a poem Kegan wrote for Dillon after their first romantic getaway, poem is a tender portrait of queer joy exploring memory, intimacy, and landscape through warm images filmed on the traditional territories of T'Sou-ke First Nation.

Filmmaker Bio

&& (double ampersand) is the collaborative pseudonym of Dillon Lew'chuk and Kegan McFadden, two lovers making art on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Inspired by queer artistic partnerships and the playful ethos of the Fluxus movement, && explores drawing, printmaking, bookworks, and photography through an experimental, deskilled lens. Their practice documents queer joy and intimacy as a radical act of visibility, embracing wonder, mistakes, and the deeply personal.

Director's Statement

This love letter was inspired by a poem Kegan wrote for Dillon after their first romantic getaway to Jordan River. A tender portrait of queer joy, Poem explores memory, intimacy, and landscape through warm footage shot on location in the traditional territories of T'Sou-ke First Nation.
