I have often explored my relationship with the body through visual elements; in this work, I approach it through sound instead. […] The film’s soundscape is composed entirely of contact microphone recordings of the human body, amplifying movements and vibrations that become perceptible only through prolonged silence and sensory isolation. The film approaches the trans body as a site of alienation and inflicted violence, but also as a profoundly personal and affirming space. […] At the limits of suffering and solitude, a fleeting metaphysical perspective on the permanence of one’s own existence becomes possible.
