Director's Statement

I wanted to portray adolescence through all the "firsts" that shape us: first periods, first moments of shame, first experiences of solidarity, but also first romantic feelings. The film begins with this intimate experience - still too rarely shared - that all women know, to more broadly explore our relationship with the body, with others' gaze, and with ourselves. It is a coming-of-age story where the intimate meets the collective, and where vulnerability becomes something shared.
