Constructed like a cadavre exquis, the film unfolds in fragments, between dream and reality, revealing the many facets of a fractured identity. A posthumous coming-out where a man's death becomes the birth of his truth.
Lorenzo is a graduate of journalism and film, and his diverse experiences living in Montreal, Paris, Milan, and Los Angeles have provided him with a unique global perspective and a profound appreciation for people. While his initial career path was as a screenwriter developing TV series, Lorenzo's passion for cinema led him to directing. "Cadavre Exquis" is his third directorial project, and he is currently writing two feature films.
Michel, a defrocked priest, diplomat, and polyglot, was a friend of my mother who inspired my desire to explore the world. At 17, he gave me Memoirs of Hadrian, a book that profoundly marked me, hinting at our shared identity. Michel fell in love with John while still a priest, sacrificing his ecclesiastical future for love. Their secret relationship lasted four decades until John's death. Grief consumed Michel, leading him to take his own life. His story lives on through Pierre and Sébastien.
