Paul, a 60-year-old film historian, meets Bill, 70, on a dating site. New to this digital world of intimacy, Paul steps into a landscape that feels both promising and, at times, uncertain. The tools meant to bring people together also expose longing and the quiet fears that come with starting over. Bill offers warmth, tenderness, and amazing sex —a rediscovery Paul had quietly stopped believing in. Their growing connection is shaped by time, memory, and unexpected depth. Paul’s niece becomes his compass, guiding him through the intricacies of online dating and helping him face the vulnerability that surfaces when love arrives later in life. Written and directed by JP Bergeron, Old Guys in Bed explores a part of queer experience rarely shown on screen: the passion and closeness that endure between aging men. With sensitivity and candor, it celebrates the beauty of age, the resilience of affection, and the courage it takes to open one’s heart — wrinkles and all.
