Filmmaker Bio

AP Hello is a 40+ LGBTQ+ Canadian-American screenwriter/director based in New York. Upon receiving a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of New Brunswick on Canada’s East Coast, he relocated to Toronto for a career in advertising. After launching a scripted non-fiction podcast, “ALL THE BOYS”, about would-be Queer luminaries whose arrests on gay-related morals charges outed them and unfairly defined their legacies, he wrote a screenplay based on it, and became obsessed with screenwriting. Hello’s second Short, “Unfortunately,”, observes a volunteer questioning his benevolence when the assignment becomes too emotionally taxing.
