Synopsis

A short music film set to classical music from Québec and filmed in a colourful, cinematic style, Doux temps (Sweet Times) explores the sharp contrast between, on the one hand, the somewhat routine daily lives of four characters and, on the other, the lyrical sweep of words and music that evoke the amorous passions of the ‘sweet days’ of youth.

Filmmaker Bio

Ravenna Tran is a London-based Chinese-Vietnamese American director and cinematographer, who discovered a love of storytelling through filmmaking later in life after several career changes. There are many themes that surface in her filmwork - love, memories and past lives, human growth and acceptance, and being lost then found.
