image+nation@mbam 31 JAN@14h. shorts at the museum

Pulled from the image+nation vault, Forming Identities II is a compelling collection of shorts that interrogates identities while exploring concepts of form and genre. Employing collage, animation and live action as formalistic constraints, this programme of shorts masterfully unites image and content.

Of the eight shorts programmed, invited directors, Jules De Niverville [TWITCH/ 2015], Eliane Ashka [22 NOVEMBRE/ 2013], Glenn Gear [CRY OF THE LOU-GAROU/ 2015] and Jonathan Lemieux [INNER CABIN/ 2013] will take part in Q & A session following the screening.

Free screening.  Jan31@14h > auditorium Maxwell-Cummings 1379a Sherbrooke w

Our final weekend is full of discoveries. A Middle Eastern décor with A Sinner In Mecca, The Amina Profile and Where Are You Going Habibi?

Travel to Luthuania  with The Summer of Sangalié, to New Zealand (All About E) and finally Chile with In the Grayscale.

Not forgetting Canada and our Aboriginal community (Fire Song) and well as French immigration here with Ce qu’on a_What we Have.

And last but certainly not least, the Festival closes with very clever queer humour with Kiss Me Kill Me!
